Lights! iPad! Green Screen! Action!

Every Thursday morning at 8:00am, a group of fourth grade students at Porter-Gaud School in Charleston, SC get together to create The Cyclone Morning Show. The show is filmed and produced each Thursday with the airing happening on the following Monday and is shown for the entire next week. Consisting of prayer, pledge, weekly menu, weather, special announcements and more, the production is the perfect way for the students in the Lower School to begin each school day. The success of this show is due to two aspects: the amazing students and the incredible technology! By using the Parrot Teleprompter app, the students are able to experience filming without having to memorize their lines. The words scroll at various paces and font sizes that make it easy for anyone to use. The iPads let the students record and edit videos in real time. The Green Screen app by Do Ink is the key to the show appearing to take place all over campus or even all over the world! The app is easy to use, edit, save and publish. Both the teleprompter app and the green screen app make for a kid-friendly  production with the experience of what it is like to film in an official studio.
